Landscapes
This is the scenery in and around our vicinity, including mountains, lochs, beaches, seascapes, forests and nature trails etc.
Wildlife
Some of the wildlife you may see in and around the area, including seaeagles, buzzard, minke whales, seals, wild goats, deer, pine marten and highland cattle, to name but a few (pictures taken by the owners).
Castles
Castles you can visit from our area within reasonable driving distance, i.e. Cawdor, Urquhart (by Loch Ness), Eilneen Doonan (near Skye), Balmoral and many others.
Events
The annual cycle race over the famous cattle pass (Bealach na Bà), begins and ends in our village. Stardust the film (to be released this year starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer), was shot in and around our area. We had the animals (and their trainers), who will appear in the film, staying with us; goats, blue jays and mice. Highland games can be seen in many of the areas around us throughout the season.
We even had the naturalist Nick Baker, whose new series Weird Creatures was shown in January 2007, staying with us this year.
